Producer Maggie Ryan & Writer/Director Paudie Baggott are the driving forces behind Escape Pod Media Limited.
Maggie runs the development and production side of the organisation while Paudie engages the creative side.
In 2020 they began developing their slate, completing 15 award-winning funded short films in two years building robust collaborative relationships with funders, including regional funders such as Film Offaly, Short Grass Films and Film Kerry, two Screen Ireland Focus Shorts, and a development project in the 2022 RTE Storyland scheme.
Escape Pod has also developed a strong network of new, exciting writing and directing talent, and the company has quickly gained a reputation for creating work to a world-class standard.

We are currently developing several talents who have proven themselves in the short form and currently have a TV Series and a Feature Film in active development with Screen Ireland with those same collaborators.

Maggie is also an active Production Manager having recently completed work on ‘Maryland’ and ‘Borderline’ for Shinawil.
Maggie was nominated for the Dublin International Film Festival Discovery Award in 2023.
